Coffee 2 go

Life is too short to waste without coffee

Love & Hate January 17, 2008

Filed under: *burp*, Love and Hate MEME, NOISE — Sanni @ 10:56 pm

My darling friend Sandee over at Comedy+ challenged me to play the Love and Hate MEME a while ago. I´m so sorry I´m way behind, but I´m trying to catch up. On a day like today I´m in the perfect mood to play this tiny game. The post I planned for today didn´t… uhm, let´s say “didn´t work” thanks to Blogger. No, nooooo… the post didn´t vanish into thin air. It´s worse.

I wanted to introduce my new blog to you… and the whole blog… *POOF* is gone. Blogger, thanks for the big fat bX-uxu3fu …

I know… your engineers will investigate… someday =(

But something bad always mostly causes something good. So here we go:

  1. I love to eat: Cesar´s salad, Sushi (currently forbidden), Cheesecake, Vitello Tonnato, chocolate, fruit salad, … well *gorge* I´m pregnant… *OffToTheFridge* and always hungry =)
  2. I hate to eat: Carrots. I´ve had enough for at least 2 lifetimes. My mom feeded me so many carrots I looked a bit yellow when I was a little one.
  3. I love to go: shopping, especially shoes. Surprising, eh?
  4. I hate to go: outside without my morning coffee
  5. I love it when: Luis comes over for additional cuddling
  6. I hate it when: My new blog is gone
  7. I love to see: ultrasound pics of Hamster 2.0
  8. I hate to see: an empty coffee box
  9. I love to hear: “Ich liebe Dich, Traumfrau” (I love you, dream girl)
  10. I hate to hear: “This blog is currently inavailable. Blogger engineers are investigating the problem.”

I tag… everyone who likes to play – please let me know when you´ve posted so I can visit =)

And now…
… our moment of Homer J.:

Homer: Yeah, Moe, that team sure did suck last night. They just plain sucked! I’ve seen teams suck before, but they were the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked!
Marge: HOMER!
Homer: I gotta go Moe my damn weiner kids are listening.

Like Christmas in May May 18, 2007

Filed under: *burp*, MEME, Sanni — Sanni @ 2:10 pm

That´s how it felt today when I opened my feedreader today. I recieved 456 (!!!) gorgeous presents. Some of those fair and beautiful presents are tiny, some are gigantic and some are something in between. You all have been blogging zealously while I was absent.

My abscence… I had to neglect my blog for a few days by reason of an urgent call from my real, non-cyber life.

Who´d have guessed this? Coffee-auntie Sanni´s got a “real” life, too. ;)

This real life has a marked preference: it loves to put obstacles in my way. I´ve swept most of those obstacles out, but some of them I can´t iron out easily. There´s some very personal stuff I still need to attend to – that kind of not bloggable stuff which I´d love to forget about… but I can´t swamp this stuff out anymore… and I know I will get my problems solved, step by step – and, hopefully I´ll get from strength to strength.

However, my real break, without posting and even reading my favorite blogs, is over. Real life grants me a bit more spare time to blog… and to visit you. I will unwrap my lovely postie-presents tonight, digging through your archives.

I confess I´ve opened 2 of my presents already. I found my big butt tagged twice.

The inimitable Barb @ Skittles´ Place tagged me to tell ya

Seven Things About Me

I can assure my seven facts will be the most boring you´ve ever read in this MEME!

1. I can´t stop buying glass candle holders. *TeeHee* How random was that? Seriously – though I think I´m collecting them now. They´re everywhere. I love love LOVE them!

2. I get my nails done every two weeks and pedi every three. I love getting my nails done because mine just won´t grow. It makes me feel soooo girly. :)

3. I have a very bad habit of licking my lips too much. So I always a (few) carry chap-stick(s).

4. I am so NOT a morning person. Although I do have to wake up (Hello, Luis! Thanks, darling! *LOL*), I despise mornings.

5. I love steak. Not just any steak… either it has to be t-bone or New York. When I was a child I would eat mine and then swallow any that others in the family would leave. To this day I can scarf a 24 oz! Love me some good ol’ steak baby! *Yum*

6. Although I love to buy shoes (453 pairs and counting) I prefer to go barefoot. Weird, isn´t it?

7. I have a bad habit of buying clothes in small sizes for the sole purpose of losing weight. I now have two full huge plastic containers in my closet just waiting for that special day. *LMAO* (Oh, this might help! *grin*)

And 7 people to tag?

- Gattina
- Danielle
- Mimi
- Neila
- Anndi
- Turnbaby

The rules: Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to blog about their seven things and post the rules as well . At the end of your blog, you need to choose 7 people to get tagged and list their names. Don´t forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog!

The one and only Danielle at Modern Musings challenged me to jump on the

Musical MEME Wayback-Machine

(Can´t name it MEME, because I like to pass it on to Matt-Man, who hates the ME… thingys *grin*)

The rules:

1. Go to www.popculturemadness.com
2. Pick the year you turned 18
3. Get yourself nostalgic over the song´s of the year
4. Write something about how the song affected you
5. Pass it on to 5 more friends

God, I´m old :) – Are you ready for some 1992 nostalgia?
Here we go:

Jump Around – House Of Pain
Lithium – Nirvana
One – U2
Under The Bridge – Red Hot Chili Peppers
Damn, I wish I Was Your Lover – Sophie B. Hawkins
Hazard – Richard Marx
Sexy M.F. – Prince (And The New Power Generation)
Layla (unplugged) – Eric Clapton

1992 – The year of Grunge.
Possibly the hardest year in my life so far. I was busy (more or less) working on my Abitur (the German university entrance diploma), working in a pizza delivery service as a “cockroach” (kitchen help and telephonist) and in a cocktail bar (bartender). I moved out of my parents´ house when I was 16, living together with my “puppy love”. It was a hard, but fun time. Sometimes frustrating, sometimes fun – as you can see when you have a look at my song choices… absolutly different music genres, but totally me… reflecting my hopes and fears – culminating in my split personality =)

And you? Please let me know, especially you 5:

1.) Matt-Man
2.) Bud
3.) Trav
4.) Bond
5.) Mo
… and – just because I can´t count and I can´t get enough of her, Turnbaby again (Noooo… no other reason *LOL*)

I hope everyone had a bit of chocolate today!
*SMOOCHES* – I´m out!

And now…
… our moment of Homer J.:

Scully: Homer, we’re going to ask you a few simple yes or no questions. Do you understand?
Homer: Yes. (lie dectector blows up)

Wordplay Wednesday April 11, 2007

Filed under: *burp*, 6worder, MEME, WeightLossTips — Sanni @ 3:14 pm

You may ask yourself: WTF? Where is Sanni´s Wordless Wednesday entry?
Well… there won´t be a WW today – our internet connection is still a mess… surfing the net and blurfing your blogs feels like being catapulted back to the Stone Age. I decided I won´t participate in today´s WW because I can´t warrant to visit other players. Having a look at all your kind comments I recieved I feel rude because I can´t visit you and leave a comment on my own.

I´ve subscribed to my fave Blogger´s in my feedreader some time ago – so I can read you, but not visit and comment. Do you use a feedreader, too, and if: Does it support the comment section?

I hope the problem will be fixed soon – although the damn so called “hotline” of our provider tells something else… like: “We didn´t register any problem so far. Please visit the arcor-speedcheck-side, up- and download the requested files and report the ticket-numbers.” HA! That´s exactly what I… uhm… let´s say: TRIED. I called the “hotline” and felt like Queen Mimi in her hilarious posting Mimi´s Minutes MEME. I could even watch a jungle growing on my legs while I was waiting for the next free line. After waiting for about one hour (*bing* one minute waiting means 12ct added to my bill *bing*) listening to Mozart´s Lullaby I spoke to a real person, asking me for the ticket-numbers.
I had to answer: “I got none.”
“We need them. We can´t help you w/ the ticket numbers. They tell us about the port-speed.”
-
“Well, lady. There´s been no speed at all. I recieved the error message: “Your connection is way too slow to up- or download any of our packages! We´ll disrupt now. Please try again later!” -
“Oooops – I´ve never heared about this problem before. I´ll put you on hold and ask the supervisior.”

After another 30+ minutes of Mozart´s Lullaby a machine told me:
“All lines are busy right now. Please try again later. Or use our internet support center to inform us about your internet problem!”
WTF??? Helllloooooo?! *WOOZA*

I hope I don´t upset anybody because I´m such a bad blogging pal at present. The only chance to be online is Frank´s work-computer at present… which is mostly occupied. But I promise to catch up as soon as possible…

Julie has invited to join her Race to the shower – her bridal shower is 16 weeks away. Julie´s goal is to get rid of another 15/16 pounds till then. I really appreciate her invitation and joined the race to get back into the loser-saddle. The Easter holidays thwarted my weight loss… way too many chocolate bunnies and other sins. Uhm… okay, it was not the holiday. It was ME munching all that stuff. However, we weigh in once a week. I faced my fears and had a short meeting with my scale yesterday. The scale didn´t do any backflips – but it didn´t tell me not to appear in groups while weighing either. It showed a +/- ZERO. I got no clue hoe this could happen… but I´m glad. That´s still 132 lb – 7 lb to go.
Wanna join the race or just support? Please visit Flip This Body! The more the merrier!

Turnbaby invited everyone to come up with some six-word-stories in her posting Oooo let´s play:

A writer’s meme.

Ernest Hemingway said the best thing he ever wrote was a six-word story. It is this:

For sale–
Baby shoes.
Never used.

My challenge to you, Dear Readers and Writers, is to come up with your own six-word story. That’s all. Six words. How hard could that be? It’ll only take a minute.

I´m not a passiontated writer like most of you. I wrote some short stories and I´m working on a novel at present … but all of my work is written in German so far. I could come up with some German six-worder, but: Who wants to read them? Doesn´t make sense =)

Met him. Done it. Size matters.

I shaved my legs for this?

Alone, he was a caring lover.

Dreamed of him. Got him. Crap.

You can trust me, he lied.

George had always been a Lesbian.

Looks yummy! What is it? – Humans.

He loved people. Exceedingly their insides.

“Red!” was the co-drivers last word.

Six word stories are very addictive.

I will do better next time.

Please visit Turnbaby for more entries!

Whatever you do today, please take a minute to stop by The Blogger´s Choice Awards and vote for my blogging pal´s. You´ll have to sign up for it, but it takes only a minute and it´s free.

Last but definitely not least: My wonderful blogging friend Desert Songbird is ecsaping in a few hours. She´ll trip to Indy. I´m wishing her a fabulous vacation – snow- and rain-free of course!

xoXOxo,

And now…
… our moment of Homer J.:

Homer: I’ll never wiggle my bare butt it public again
Lisa: I’d like to beleive that this time, I really would.
