My darling friend Sandee over at Comedy+ challenged me to play the Love and Hate MEME a while ago. I´m so sorry I´m way behind, but I´m trying to catch up. On a day like today I´m in the perfect mood to play this tiny game. The post I planned for today didn´t… uhm, let´s say “didn´t work” thanks to Blogger. No, nooooo… the post didn´t vanish into thin air. It´s worse.

I wanted to introduce my new blog to you… and the whole blog… *POOF* is gone. Blogger, thanks for the big fat bX-uxu3fu …

But something bad always mostly causes something good. So here we go:

1. I love to eat: Cesar´s salad, Sushi (currently forbidden), Cheesecake, Vitello Tonnato, chocolate, fruit salad, … well *gorge* I´m pregnant… *OffToTheFridge* and always hungry =)
2. I hate to eat: Carrots. I´ve had enough for at least 2 lifetimes. My mom feeded me so many carrots I looked a bit yellow when I was a little one.
3. I love to go: shopping, especially shoes. Surprising, eh?
4. I hate to go: outside without my morning coffee
5. I love it when: Luis comes over for additional cuddling
6. I hate it when: My new blog is gone
7. I love to see: ultrasound pics of Hamster 2.0
8. I hate to see: an empty coffee box
9. I love to hear: “Ich liebe Dich, Traumfrau” (I love you, dream girl)
10. I hate to hear: “This blog is currently inavailable. Blogger engineers are investigating the problem.”

I was sure if I should cut my hair or… NOT – so I decided to take the direct road and cry for help! Help absolutely looks like…

Before I got pregnant with my son (9 years ago), my hair was as long as it is now (a few inches below my shoulders). When I found out I was pregnant, I had 9 inches cut off. I got a chin-length bob. After he was born, I cut it even shorter, thinking it would be easier to take care of because with two kids, I’d need something easy.

The problem is, my hair is soooo straight, when it’s short, I really need to style it in some way or it looks horrible. The cut just lays their, flat and limp. So I discovered that long is best since I can pin it up, put it in a ponytail, braid it, etc., or just let it lie straight.

It depends on how much time you want to fuss with your hair, how cooperative your hair is, and how much maintenance you want to do (cutting often, color upkeep, etc.)

Good luck deciding! Whatever you decide, it WILL grow out, you know. Nothing is permanent.

Sanni: Thank you so much for sharing your experiences, girlfriend. My own hair is everything else but straight. Cutting it I might look like a poodle if I don´t style it *grin* – but one of my best bathroom-friends is my hair straightener, especially now, with long hair.

I’ve always heard that you shouldn’t cut your hair while you’re pregnant. It could be a hormone based decision you might regret.

Going from long to short could be traumatic!!! I would suggest you take a little off every couple weeks as long as you are comfortable with the change.

Don’t know about the salons in Germany, but I always feel I could have done a better job cutting my hair with a pair of garden shears after I leave a salon!! LOL

I got mine cut similar to the style you want only a tad longer. I use a flat iron and it is absolutely a breeze to style! I have a little curl in my hair and it straightens right out. Before I had a gastric bypass, my hair was totally straight! I lost a lot of hair and the new stuff grew in wavy! How weird!
I think you could shave your head, a la Sinead O’Connor and still be ravishing!

Sometimes it’s nice to have a refreshing change. I used to have long hair from grade school to college. I cut it short when I started working and I have always kept my hair short.

if memory serves the prenatal vitamins made my hair grow even faster than it normally does. So cut it now and it’ll have a head start on growing back if you don’t like it. (pun unintended…smile)

While I personally look really stupid with short hair, some people look great.

I´ve had some mostly pregnancy-based bad hair days recently and those dancing hormones make it impossible to choose between HEADS *OR* TAILS today.

I´m longing for a new haircut so I´ll bring you HEADS *AND* TAILS today:

I love Rhianna´s style, but this haircut would be a major change in the length. It took my ages to grow my hair… so I don´t know what to do. Maybe I should begin with a minor change like this?
